STUDYING IN AUSTRALIA

Student visa (Subclass 500)

From 1 July 2016, student visa subclasses 570-575 have been replaced with a single student visa subclass. The new student visa considers the student’s intended education provider and country of citizenship as a risk assessment tool. Depending on this risk assessment, financial and english language capacity may or may not be required by the Department of Immigration and Border Protection.

The Student Visa framework is a convoluted maze in Australia. Most students are getting their student visas rejected because they are not meeting the Genuine Temporary Entrant criteria.
